Many clients know exactly what they want but simply don't know how to actually design the project. A computer aided design consultant can take the verbal information from the client and, using a computer assisted drafting program, develop a blueprint to start construction.

Common work activities include:
» Meeting with clients to discuss the outcomes required by the computer aided design project.
» Analyzing the data to determine various options and designing these options through use of a computer program such as AutoCAD.
» Reviewing the project or projects with the clients, making modifications and making recommendations if required.

» Staying current through research and networking to understand new computer aided drafting programs.
